| Angela Fortain was
first interested in glassblowing as a child at the Jamestown living
history center. She has since studied at Santa Ana College, San Bernardino
Valley College and at the Corning school of glass in New York. She
has worked as a professional glassblower for over a decade. Angela
also enjoys working in metal fabrication and lost wax casting. Her
gold and silver, jewelry and bronze
and glass sculpture are inspired by nature and the delicate and complex
cycles of life. |
| Stephen Stark has been a professional metalsmith for fifteen years.
He also has a B.F.A. in jewelry and metalsmithing from the California
College of Arts and Crafts. He primarily works in silver, gold and
bronze. The love of metal is an inspiration to him employing a number
of different techniques to create the texture form and feel of each
piece. The endless potential of precious metal to assume almost any
form allows new possibilities with each new piece. He is fascinated
by ancient metalwork from all continents and cultures, Surrealist
Art, gardening, fly fishing and fly tying, knitting and anything
involving chickens. In addition to holding a number of important
positons at Inferno Artworks he also teaches a variety of jewelry
making classes at The Crucible in Oakland CA. |
